The Alpha Film Series is a global, updated and engaging resource designed to take people on a journey to explore the basics of the Christian faith.

Repackaged for today’s audience, the Alpha Film Series is emotive and epic in scale and scope. The episodes feature inspiring stories, interviews from all around the world, visual illustrations and motion graphics.

With nineteen language translations and nine more translations currently in production, it’s a tool for anyone interested in running Alpha and is free to download on Alpha Builder. The series covers all of the traditional Alpha content and is made up of fifteen episodes (each under thirty minutes), an introduction to the Alpha day or weekend as well as specific training videos.





Presenters Nicky Gumbel, the pioneer of Alpha, Gemma Hunt, a BAFTA award-winning TV presenter, and Toby Flint, a curate at Holy Trinity Brompton church in London, bring the traditional Alpha material to life in the global, interactive series - walking through the basics of the Christian faith in a way that everyone can relate to.

#1: Register your Alpha

To view, access and download the Alpha Film Series, head over to Alpha Builder to register your Alpha.

#2: Train your team

Although Alpha has a simple format, there are a range of resources and training videos designed to help you run the best Alpha possible. This will ensure that all your hosts and helpers feel confident when running a small group. You can find all of the training videos when you register on Alpha Builder.

#3: Invite your guests

A personal invitation is the most effective way to invite someone to try Alpha and every year, churches across the world invite their communities to explore life, faith and meaning on Alpha. 

This year, we have created a new Alpha Invitation 17/18 with exciting new videos, stories and resources that you can use to promote your Alpha to your community and to invite people to try Alpha.

The new invitation videos focus on the universal human need to explore. About Alpha

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, in churches, bars, homes, coffee shops, workplaces, schools—you name it. 

Typically, Alpha includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where guests can share their thoughts.
